Forty five Westgate is a ground floor flat in an attractive block of flats built at the end of the 19th century. It has its own main door entrance through a small garden at the front. The flat is fully modernised although benefits from traditional features such as tall ceilings, cornices, sash windows, wooden doors and fireplace (gas fire fitted). A child’s cot and high chair is available should it be required.
The spacious lounge has a large bay window making it bright and airy. There are two sofas and a lug-ear chair where you can relax. It has a flat screen television with Sky plus. Sports and movies can be added for a charge. A DVD player and wi-fi/broadband facility is provided. A selection of board games and cards is available.
The bathroom is off the spacious hall and has bath, shower and heated towelrail.
The large kitchen, with dining area, has recently been refurbished and is well equipped with gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and the usual selection of kitchenware. The dining area is located in an alcove in the kitchen and seats 6. There is a small utility room off the kitchen with washing machine, tumbler drier, microwave and plenty of space to hang up wet golf clothing, or it can be hung outside on the line in the garden. The flat is centrally heated and there is a gas fire in the lounge.
There are two twin-bedded rooms. The twin-beds in one of the rooms can be joined together to make a king-size double. The front room has a 'seaside' theme and the back room a 'Scottish' theme. Both rooms are extremely comfortable with high quality bedding and 'Komfi, mattresses. Bath and hand towels are provided.
The private walled garden at the rear of the property is secure and particularly good for people with young children. Access is available through the utility room. Guests are free to use the garden and barbeque equipment is provided. There is a garden table and 4 chairs immediately outside the back door for visitors to use. This is a lovely sheltered spot to eat outside on sunny days.
No smoking is allowed within the flat. Dogs by prior arrangement and restricted use of the garden .
Accessibility: Our flat is on the ground floor with two low (but deep) steps so although there is not a ramp the access for a wheelchair is not difficult. The doors within the house are wider than in a modern apartment and wheelchair access is not difficult.
